To be considered with the elite, you have to wear name brand attire.  A shame – I know, but this is the world we’ve created.  Don’t believe me…watch the next red carpet award show and pay attention to questions asked as the stars arrive.

The “What do you have on” question is the only one the star cares to answer.  It gives them the chance to tell them how they have a one of a kind piece made especially for them by some top name designer.  Regular people like me can only get what the local malls and shops have to offer at descent sales price.  However, I do walk past the big name shops from time to time just to see the awesome price tags and give myself quite a laugh.

Enough of me.  What is your fav brand of attire.

While growing up in the South, I can recall how fashion trends changed and morphed every single year.  I traveled a lot with my parents to many U. S. cities and the first noticeable differences I always saw was clothing or fashion.  It was very eye popping to see some of the styles that were present.  But relentlessly, the same eye popping attire I would see in New York, Chicago, or Miami would always make its way to Georgia and Alabama the following year.

As I got older, I realized that cities like NYC, Chi-town, and MIA were fashion trend setters.  Mom would purchase my clothes for the upcoming school year in these cities and when I wore them to school, I received the same eye popping glazes that I would give when in the larger Metro Cities.

Even on the bigger scale, fashion also begins in some of our foreign nations.  Paris is normally the first place that comes to mind when someone says International Fashion.  But enough of me…

I was in downtown Atlanta a few days ago.  Just hanging out, grabbing a bite with some friends, etc.  While walking to the restaurant, we passed a homeless guy that had on a shirt and tie and asked me for some change.  His scent and hair quality gave his status away.

When reaching the restaurant, almost every table around us had 4 – 6 guys with either shirt and ties, or suit and ties.  I immediately thought, wow – we’re in the financial/business district.  After finishing up our food, we headed back to the vehicles.  We passed a church that had some type of meeting going on.  There were several men at the church with ties on. My immediate thought was, “Gosh, is a tie typical men wear these days”.

So what does  a tie represent?  Does the tie signify I’m clean cut and need money.  Does it say I handle my business and I’m an outstanding business man.  Does it say I’m a man of God.  You tell us…

Unless you are the absolute perfect person on this earth, then you have potentially had an embarassing clothing moment.  Just thinking back to high school, I can remember quite a few hilarious moments at others expense.

• Shirt on backwards
• Zipper left down
• Hole in Shirt
• Stains on clothing
• Talking shoe
• Ripped Skirt
• Brassieres with holes
• Running panty hose
• And the infamous mix matched socks

These moments hit their peak when someone brings it to the victim’s attention.  No need for embarrassment if you don’t know your zipper is down or there is a hole in your shirt.  I could almost see a reality TV show with a guy going around pointing out clothing flaws and waiting for the reaction.

What embarrassing clothing moments can you recall for someone else or yourself?

An old Teddy Pendergrass song starts out with “Turn off the lights, and light a candle…”  Teddy P continues to wow crowds of people whenever this very line is played.  Nothing much to what he’s saying, but more evident is the context of what it means.  Teddy was giving all mood setters who heard his song advice on how to set the mood.

Moods can be set in several ways:

• Kissing.  Good wholesome tongue action kissing.  Men and women are both turned on by kissing.  Whether it be the soft skin of the touching lips or the lips and wet tongue taking a journey around one’s neck, ears, chest, etc. – it works, Trust me!
• Temptation.  Never fall into a stagnant sex life.  The same routine of get naked, lie down, get busy can get very boring to most and drives the “sex drive” right out of your sexual relationship.  Instead be somewhat of a tease, dress in a tempting manner, act as if you’re luring your partner in.
• Attire.  Buy the attire you would like for your partner to wear.  If you buy it, that means chances are – you like it.  Your partner will more than likely enjoy it because its sexy, you bought it, and they get to model it for you.
• Atmosphere.  Candles, Bubble baths, satin sheets, light music, rub on creams, ice, strawberries, chocolate, and even cool whip.  All a recipe for very pleasing night.

I know you’ve become quite excited now but we need you to refocus your attention.  It’s survey time, and we want to know….

Most of us grew up subliminally thinking that we had to find a young man or woman that was of the same ethnicity as our own.  To be Black and select a White mate and vice versa was just something you didn’t do.  But of course this was the older way of thinking.  In the current 2000 era, America and several other countries are truly diverse communities now.  Even in my own community, just walking down my street and saying “Hello” would introduce me to over 10 nationalities.

With that said, it is only a matter of time before you, me, your friends, your co-workers, and all eventually cross paths with someone of different ethnicity.  Taking it a step further to your sexual life – which ethnicity are you going to prefer?

I have several friends who have dated multiple persons of a particular background.  They seem to really like them according to the stories I’ve heard.  But enough of me and my friends, what do you prefer?

Me:  Let me begin by apologizing.  I’m sorry….

Me:  I’m sorry because someone has lied to you.  Yes, that’s right.  Someone has told you that they have only had sex with X number of people or they have had sex with XX number of people. (or maybe even XXX number of people)

Survey Magnet Audience:  Why did they lie?

Me:  Well, it depends.  There are two reasons for this.

1. Someone wants you to believe they are not as experienced as they have led you to believe.  They may feel that if you knew about their many partners, you would not want them with all that tread wear.
2. Someone wants you to believe that they are experienced when they really are not.  Ladies, don’t over think this one.  It’s a guy thing.  I don’t know why, they just do it.  I guess it’s a macho thing.

Survey Magnet Audience:  That’s crazy.  I don’t believe the majority of the general population lies about this!  Let’s take a vote.

Quality

Attribute, characteristic, or property of a thing or phenomenon that can be observed and interpreted, and may be approximated (quantified) but cannot be measured, such as beauty, feel, flavor, taste.

Now that we have the quality meaning, how do you correlate this to your sexual experiences?  Is there a certain “quality” of sex that you expect from your partner?  Variations of people are so vast that sexual experiences should be just as wide.

People could rank themselves as:

• Energizer Bunnies – energy for days
• Pedestals – just sit, stand, lay there
• Beasts – do it anyway other than laying down
• Tortoises – just pacing themselves

But what gives you the best quality.  What does it take to rock your socks?

Situation Monday

Hard times fall on the best of us.  An unexpected bill or major life event can significantly change a person’s financial situation overnight.

Banks are legendary for tightening up funds when people need them the most.  When that occurs people turn to family and friends to financial assistance.

Imagine this…a friend of yours falls into a particularly horrendous financial situation.  He/she turns to you in their deepest hour of need and requests $1,000.  Being the philanthropist that you are you decide to comply.  You agree to a payback period of 4 weeks.  4 weeks pass and nothing happens.  Your calls, texts, and emails go unanswered.  During week 6 you see that friend coming out of Neiman Marcus in the mall.

What do you do?

Situation Monday

You and your significant other have been in a relationship for just over 2 years.  Things have been great.  Thinking back to the day when you first met in the sandwich shop during lunch.  You both wanted extra sauce on your sandwiches and it has been lovely every since.

…Or so you thought.  You’ve recently been seeing an uneasiness in your significant other in going out in public in certain parts of the city that you’ve always gone to, and for some reason, email and phones have become a much more private matter.  You are truly wondering what is going on and what has happened.

So you decide to bring your concerns up to your significant other.  They fess up and tell you they want to tell you something but wants to discuss it over dinner that evening.  You meet at a restaurant you’ve never been to and sit down.  Soon thereafter, someone else joins you at the table.  You are utterly shocked and dismayed.  “Who the hell are you?” is the first thing that comes to mind.

The response….”We’re a couple and you are impeding on our future.”  Suddenly it dawns on you that you are the victim of a cheating no good spouse.  Even worse, the infidelity is with someone of the same sex!!! Oddly enough, they don’t see it as cheating because they were involved prior to your appearance.
