Every now and again you run across a tidbit of information that makes you turn your head and say “WHAT!?”.  Today I was emailed a story that made me do that. According to CNET Apple Incorporated now has more available cash than the United States government.

We all know that the US government isn’t the best at handling, budgeting, or using money.  Any story that says “we suck at managing money” won’t come across as a shocker but its a little scary to think that one company has wrangled up more money than the government that takes money from every paycheck in the US.

The exact numbers go a little something like this.

U.S. Government – $73.768 Billion

Apple Incorporated – $75.876 Billion
