Good Business or Management Books

6 Comments 22 July 2011

If you’re at all like me, you’re intrigued with good literature about work, business, management and the different styles, or even explanatory ideology around the work environment.  I enjoy the differences in opinions as well as the reaffirmation of my own ideas by a renown author.  I’ve read quite a few in the last few months that I will share.  I would hope that you would agree or also share some of your faves.

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team

A new CEO comes in to break down what a company with a competitive advantage just can’t seem to do right – work as a team.

Who Moved My Cheese?

Illustrated way of dealing with change in your work and life.

The Three Signs of a Miserable Job

A retired CEO finds himself missing work and challenges himself to build another strong work environment by creating an environment where people love their job.

First, Break All the Rules.  What the World’s Greatest Managers Do Differently

A freakish way of managing by going against everything you learned or were ever taught.

Freakonomics

Just that – a freakish way of looking at economics.

Would you agree with any of these?  If so, elaborate.  If not, share your own.

What work/management related book should everybody have to read?
