Online video and rentals have exploded in recent years. With any explosion comes a rush of companies looking to cash in. There are several smaller players in the field and a few key large players. Those larger players are:
- YouTube- Synonymous with online video. YouTube has recently introduced a movies section that allows user to pay to rent movies. Rumor has it that a TV show service will be added soon.
- Netflix – Online movie and TV Show rental portal that costs $10 a month. Content is not always the freshest but the library is huge.
- Hulu – made famous for bringing several different up to date TV shows to the web. Huge library of up to date content and the ability to pay for older content and movies.
Each service has its pros and cons but one will eventually reign supreme. Which service do you side with?
