We all know the story. As children we’re told to go to school, get an education, and then get a real job. Oftentimes that means a defined career such as an engineer, business manager, doctor, dentist, or lawyer. The problem with this approach is that it puts extreme limitations on what a person can do.
There are plenty of careers out there that provide income that aren’t considered “real jobs”. Most of them are entrepreneurial in nature and require a significant upfront investment in time and energy prior to making money. Things like musician, network marketing, artist, and independent salesman fit into this category.
So what do you consider a real job?
