Donald Trump is many things, least of which is controversial. Earlier this year Donald Trump created major buzz by making public his aspirations to be President.  He started on a pretty ridiculous platform (Obama isn’t a citizen).  Obama subsequently made him look silly by providing adequate documentation that he is indeed a citizen.

Despite that black mark Donald Trump has done enough to garner the media attention necessary to take a crack at the Presidency.  Trump’s life has been filled with the type of successes and catastrophic failures that could make him a good President.  Chief among them are the following:

• Recovered from 2 bankruptcies.  In 1991 the Taj Mahal (a Trump property) filed for business bankruptcy.  In 1992, the Trump Plaza Hotel was forced to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
• Trump owns 4 successful golf courses in the US.
• Trump is paid healthy royalty fees to have his name associated with buildings that he doesn’t own.
• Trump is the executive producer of one of the top TV shows in the US.
• Trump is also a part owner of the Miss Universe Organization.

Trump has recently announced that he won’t run for President.  Nonetheless, it does create an interesting debate.
