84% of custodial parents are mothers and of that:

- 34.2% have never been married
- 19% are married (mostly represented by remarriages)
- 1.7% are widowed
16% of custodial parents are fathers and of that:
- 57.8% are divorced or separated
- 20.9% have never married
- 20% are married (mostly represented by remarriages)
- Fewer than 1% are widowed
Of these numbers during the observed time frame, it was also stated that 160 kids were convicted of crimes daily. That number is up 13% from the previous year. 73% of these kids are raised in a household such as one mentioned above. End result – not good… Is it true…Do single parents raise bad kids?
