Nintendo was the first home video game system to catch fire. For years Nintendo ran the show. If you were alive in the 80′s then you were exposed to cult classics like like Duck Hunt, Mario Brothers, Contra, Tetris, Zelda, Paperboy,Mega Man, and Donkey Kong. Nintendo was very successful when it came to making games.
Nintendo was also the first gaming company to produce attachments that allowed interaction with the game. Most notable among them were:
- Power Glove – a really useless contraption with no real usefulness.
- Zapper – Gun attachment used to play Duck Hunt.
- Power Pad – Pad placed on the floor to use with athletic games that required running and jumping.
