Can anyone ever be a “good” President?

22 Comments 11 January 2011

Recently, we’ve experienced our first Black President of the United States.  Although many had been waiting on that inauguration day for all their lives, so few are still satisfied/happy with President Obama.

Obama sought to:

  • Create universal health care
  • Limit student loan payments to 10% of their income
  • Create systematic automatic workplace IRAs
  • Double child and dependent care tax credit for those making under $85,000
  • Expand tax credits to match retirement savings
  • Help families that balance work and caring for elderly relatives

But each and every day, President Obama is on the butt end of verbal abuse for how he is running the country.  Regardless of how many jobs are created, or how much tax relief and bailouts are passed out, he cannot win.

Which brings us to today’s poll.  Have we ever had a “good” President?  If not, can we have a good President?  Someone that the country feels is progressively moving the country in a positive direction and supporting us on the international front and sustaining the US economy.

Can anyone ever truly be a "good" President?
