I’ve met several people that have different viewpoints around how to spend the Christmas season.  Those that believe in Jesus being the sole reason for the season all devote their time to church and communicating the story of the birth of Jesus to the world.

Others are only concerned with getting and giving of gifts.  Employers sponsor Christmas parties where they embellish in fatty foods and drinks.  Occasionally, they give out prizes and gifts.  Some groups go so far as to pull names and exchange gifts or play the infamous Dirty Santa game.

What is most important to you?  Do you spend your Christmas Eve at church absorbing the word of Christ or do you stay home and await your gifts from loved ones or the fat man in the red suit.
