1 – Who are you and what is your website about?

I’m Harshad Sawant, and I write for Tech Exclusive. I’m an Internet entrepreneur, who believes in simple mantra – “Do things differently”.

Tech Exclusive is focused on technology news and updates. I basically cover Apple, Google and Microsoft updates, and sometimes I also provide useful tips and tricks on the blog. Tech Exclusive has also been featured on many top technology blogs and websites.

Apart from this blog, I also run another blog for Indian telecom users – Phones In India. The blog is just a small baby, but it has shown a significant amount of growth in last two months.

2 – Why did you start your blog?

When I bought www.tech-exclusive.com domain name in early 2008, I didn’t have any plans to make it a powerful blog on the Internet. I’ve been passionate about technology field, and always love to share my experience and knowledge with other people.

I started Tech Exclusive as a blog because blogging field was evolving during those days and I thought that it would be a great platform to have direct communication with the online community.

3 – What has been the most explosive post on your blog and why?

Well, it’s kind of difficult to find out the most ‘explosive post’ on the blog. However, I would like to mention the “Get New Orkut Invitations” post here.

I wrote this casual post to let people know about the new Orkut. I wasn’t expecting any traffic from it, but somehow it went viral and crashed down the servers.

I learned many things from the above mentioned post. For ex., I covered this post much before many other blogs and got huge traffic. Other bloggers would have enjoyed the same or more traffic, but they didn’t really bother to write on their blogs.

‘Blog for money/traffic’ attitude won’t work in longer term. Money and traffic are just two small incentives of your work. You should always concentrate on your content and readers.

4 – What is the craziest/most interesting exchange you’ve seen in your blog comments and why?

I provide detail guides on jailbreaking and unlocking the iDevices. There are very few people on the web who genuinely try these methods on the devices and write about them on blogs. I try all the tools before writing guides for end users. Since the blog has now managed to gain the trust in people’s mind, many posts have ended up with hundreds of comments.

So, I can’t really pick one post to say that it has most interesting or crazy comments.

5 – What is the best article for a new reader on your blog to see?

Best article for a new reader? It would be unfair if I choose one article as the best article. Tech Exclusive is basically meant for those who are looking for quality updates. I would recommend new readers to subscribe our feeds so that they can get exclusive updates on Apple, Google, Microsoft and other related topics.
