We’ve touched on this before (Previous Post).  Public school  teachers are told exactly what to teach and how to teach it.  They focus so much on passing mandated tests that they lose sight of teaching kids “all” they need to know to be successful in today’s society.

I can think back and say that had certain things been taught in school my life would be a lot easier. Some of these would have been much more beneficial:

• How to manage finances – With so many people in debt, imagine if kids were taught at a high school level how to budget and live off of the amount of money they possess.
• How to run your own business – School focuses on learning what you do best and then following that acumen into a career.  What if you were taught all levels of business?
• Self defense classes – More butt kicking, Less bullying.  Need I say more.
• Sex Education – Not the watered down version you get in Health class.   I mean the full blown if you put this in there, this will happen and these are the repercussions expose.

I know you wish you could go back and take one of these.  Which one is it?
