If you’ve ever watched a Richard Pryor or Chris Rock comedy show you’ve heard the word “Nigger” enough times to make a Klansman blush.

The word “Nigger” dates back to 1619 when the term was used to describe  African slaves.  Some say “Nigger” derived from the French word negre or the Spanish word negro referring to black.  In 2010, it is a common word.

Being of African American descent, I hear the word all the time.  Sometimes in argumentative situations, sometimes in freelance friendly conversation.  But I have never heard it in conversation with my White, Asian, or Middle Eastern friends.

Its typically been taboo for anyone without black skin to say the word.  Do you think thats fair?
