Half a century ago, women depended on and needed a man to take care of them, provide for them, feed them, clothe them, and put a roof over their heads.  Fast forward to 2010, and the success of a woman is based off of her personal success, independence, and ability and care for herself.

I frequently see women like this by themselves.  I don’t want to say or assume that the woman in need of a man is needy or “weaker” thus causing her to need a man, but these women are typically happy and in the company of a nice man.

Are men afraid of women that can take of themselves or is something else afoot?
