Heisman-Trophy

The infamous Heisman trophy is a very notable award in college football.  Named after notorious player and coach John Heisman,  it represents the most prestigious of all the college awards.  The sculpture itself is modeled after Ed Smith of the 1934 New York University.

2010 is a new year full of young athletic sapiens trying for the small 25lb bronze statue.  Heisman repeats are far and few to the tune of one to Mr. Archie Griffin.  Does that cancel Mr. Mark Ingram, who knows?  However, This year we have a broad list of Quarterbacks and Running Backs that have the spotlight already.

  • Mark Ingram, Alabama RB, 2009 Heisman Trophy – 271 attempts, 1658 yards, 6.1 yds avg, 17 TDs
  • Ryan Mallet, Arkansas QB – 225/403, 3627 yards, 30 TDs
  • Terrelle Pryor, Ohio State QB – 167/295, 2094 yards, 18 TDs
  • Christian Ponder, Florida State QB – 227/330, 2717 yards, 14 TDs
  • Ricky Dobbs, Navy QB – 56/105, 1031 yards, 6 TDs
  • Kellen Moore, Boise State QB – 277/431, 3536 yards, 39 TDs
  • Case Keenum, Houston QB – 492/700, 5671 yards, 44 TDs
  • Jacory Harris, Miami QB – 242/406, 3352 yards, 24 TDs
  • Noel Devine, W. Virginia RB – 241 attempts, 1465 yards, 6.1 yds avg, 13 TDs

There are are the numbers.  You make the call…
