When it comes to business, whether big or small, accountants are normally considered to be one of the more important pieces of the puzzle. Accountants should set you on the proper financial path, make sure your bills are getting paid, and most importantly – handling those pesky taxes.
In big business, accountants are normally referred to as “Finance”. Finance can move expenses from one group to the next to help keep you within the department’s budget. Finance can debate with local county assessors over the taxes paid for properties owned there. Finance also determines whether we should classify monies spent on a project as an expense or take the funds from the capital bucket.
We’re in business to make money and the accountants are in complete control of that. Would it be safe to say that Accountants are the most powerful with the business walls?
