In early 2010 the phenomena known as Pleaserobme.com caught headlines. The concept of the site was simple. The site aggregated information from Google Buzz and Foursquare to provide “alerts” and “opportunities” for robbing people that post their physical whereabouts on different social media outlets.
The site caught a ton of flack, got a ton of traffic, and made a lot of people extremely mad. It wasn’t well received but it appeared to prove a point. People are sharing too much information on the web.
