As we’ve discussed before on the site, we (myself included), as Americans seem to only get involved in our local politics when the United States presidency is also up in the air.  It is well known that local politicians and officers control much more of your life than the United States politicians.  However, we still lack in the area.

As I sit here and think about it, I can recall the name of my city mayor, but that is where the buck stops.  Even with the recent elections, I still cannot recall the names of those elected into office that control my life.  However, I’m willing to bet that I am not much different than many of you.
