The United States Military has not used the draft since the Vietnam War. There have been scant talks of re-instating it since then but no true need has ever arisen.
Being drafted definitely changes your life. You literally go from your comfortable little cube to the desert in about 6 months flat. The last draft saw a huge trend of people who refused to enter.
So here is the question of the day. If good ‘ole Uncle Sam sent you an unsolicited request to strap up would you say yes or no?

Depends on why we are drafting… To fight barefoot people in the sand – No way.
I agree, if we had a true threat to our own security then I’m for a draft. But since no one is really attacking us over here I don’t see why a draft is even in anyone’s conversation.
If the draft is initiated, I am running to a recruiters office. I’ll be damned if I’m going to be rushed through boot camp and sent to war with a bunch of pussies that don’t want to be there. My ass is getting in there with all the guys who want to be soldiers and have my back.
Lucky for me I can’t get drafted to fight. Where are my high heels?
They probably fell off at the street corner when you got in that shady looking car with the creepy looking guy.
I hate to break the news to you but you can’t avoid “pussies that don’t want to be there”. Most folks with a brain aren’t gung ho to place their lives on the line as a blip on a radar screen.
Welcome to 2010, if the gays can fight I bet women will be in there too.
I disagree. I think you can’t avoid the PEOPLE that don’t want to be there (hell, I would be one of them), but you can avoid the PUSSIES that don’t want to be there.
I’d become a single mom.
