It has been said that you don’t need to be a very smart person. Mark Lunsford Pryor, a United States Senator from Arkansas has corroborated this statement on film.
Traditionally, a person’s ability to persuade and influence people has been the most important factor in gaining public office. This has led to a litany of poor legislators and backlash from the public. Some (including yours truly) think that there should be an IQ requirement for public officials.
