At first glance golf doesn’t look like an expensive sport.  In order to play you need the following items:

• A bag
• A set of balls (more balls if you aren’t that great)
• A pair of shoes
• A set of clubs

In this case appearances are deceiving.  A standard bag costs $50-$100.  The range on ball prices is just plain silly.  You can’t get a decent pair of shoes for $40.

Golf clubs are in a category all their own.  The flimsiest full set of clubs that Wal-Mart has to offer is $100.  That’s right $100 for a few poles with heads on them.  A high quality set of Taylor Mades, Nikes, or Ping clubs can easily leave your pocket $1,500 lighter.

They say a good craftsmen needs good tools.  How much are you willing to pay for a good set of golf tools?
