Everyone enjoys a good free surf on the internet, I know I do.
But what if one day your service provider, say Comcast, wanted to limit the speed of you downloading Youtube videos. They would do this because your downloading of videos was hogging up bandwidth that should be available to other customers. Welcome to the idea of Net Neutrality.
Net Neutrality is defined by wikipedia as the principle proposed for user access networks participating on the Internet that advocates no restrictions on content, sites, or platforms, on the kinds of equipment that may be attached, and on the modes of communication allowed, as well as communication that is not unreasonably degraded by other traffic. In layman’s terms, surf where you want at the speed you want without the MAN holding you back.

A U.S. appeals court has ruled that the FCC doesn’t have the right to enforce net neutrality principles for ISPs. In this specific case, the FCC wanted to stop Comcast from controlling user traffic in instances of peer-to-peer downloading. (http://mashable.com/2010/04/06/net-neutrality/)
Now is the FCC correct in saying we should have free reign on the internet or is Comcast correct in trying to preserve the quality of your internet from the downloaders?

Interesting. I definitely don’t think a business entity should be able to place restraints on the public. Horrible precedent.
Happens every day. Sorry to bust your bubble.
Comcast does not own the internet. Next, we’ll having Trane limiting how much air conditioner usage you’re allowed to use.
Comcast is just trying to give quality service to all it’s users. But in do so they are limiting access to my FREEDOMS!
