According to about.com a sex therapist
” works with individuals, couples, or sometimes groups, usually addressing specific sexual concerns or complaints. Sex therapists mostly work within a medical model of human sexuality, and consider what they do to be a form of treatment. Much of their work focuses on resolving sexual problems or dysfunctions, and they try to accomplish this by isolating the problem and offering information, support and psychological, interpersonal, and/or medical treatment plans. Sex therapists often work short term, and almost always focused on a specific goal.”
It sounds like a pretty interesting gig. That same site mentions lack of orgasm, difficulties with erections, and problems with differing levels of desire in a couple as reasons to see a therapist.
Would you ever need to visit the sex doctor?
