Most people punch the time clock on Monday through Friday for 30 or 40 years on end.  With that type of time commitment there has to be something that you can’t stand.  It could be your long commute, your small  salary, or your lack of romance in the office.

Whatever the case  we would like to know what you can’t stand about your job.  Chime in and let us know what you dislike about your job.

Lack of eye candy is a big let down, but you should never dip your pen in company ink.

I have to say that not knowing each day when I will go home is annoying. I like to plan to workout or go to dinner in the evenings and sometimes I have to blow it off so I can stay to work. Working late doesn’t bother me if I know ahead of time, but being told at the last minute that there is an “emergency” when I have made plans really gets on my nerves.

Oh and when people DON’T FLUSH THE FUCKING URINALS. That shit is so damn disgusting. How hard is it to flush the damn thing? I bet its those nasty Indian (dot not feather) bastards.

forget the not flushing, what about the people who pee on the floor.

Being a non-industrial engineer leaves you working with mostly guys. I like the women folk, I ain’t trying to flirt or cheat but sometimes it’s nice to speak to someone who’s not an engineering dork.

In my current position I would have to say it is working with managers that tell me what to do, write(review) my review and tell me what I need to improve on, knowing they cannot do a piece of what I do. It makes one wonder why are they my superior.

Things that make you go hmm.

I would have to say that it is the celebrated ignorance of the people that are responsible for providing me with direction. Ignorance is okay when you acknowledge that you don’t know or understand something pertaining to the job that you get paid to do but make plans to acquire the knowledge. After all, no one knows everything. However, when you make no attempt to learn what is necessary and reasonably expected of you to hold your position and you are responsible for providing direction to others who have a dependency on you to know this information but you would rather make jokes about playing dumb and being an idiot. It makes for a very rough day at work.

Relative to the eye candy, my grandfather always said that “You should never shit where you eat!” I tend to follow that advice.
