For those of you who missed it today. Tiger Woods spoke for the first time since his Thanksgiving holiday explosion. A blast that was heard around the world and still not right.
A few things Tiger said:

There has never been an issue of domestic violence with Elin. NEVER!

It’s not what you achieve in life that matters, it’s what you overcome
I am truly sorry
It’s hard to admit I need help, but I do
I want to ask that you one day believe in me
Tiger seemed very honest and admirable about his words to the public. Some media outlets were outraged that he limited it to only friends and a few media outlets and no questions were allowed. He also mentioned that he will be going back to rehab and also refocusing on this Buddhist religion.
So do you think Tiger is making a proper amends for his actions?

It doesn’t matter to me whether he is sorry or not. It should only matter most what Elin thinks. The media should chill out because they are going to put their spin on it no matter what he says or doesn’t say, or whether they were invited to ask questions or not. At this point, his focus should be to decrease the drama that he is exposing his wife and children to not boost the network ratings. I think that his infidelity issues are between him, his wife and his endorsements with the morality clauses. It is sad that so many people are excited, actually waited in anticipation for this press conference just to see Tiger finally mess up and be miserable. Having heard most if not all of the Tiger jokes, seen the pictures of Elin holding the golf club, etc., I have to say that it is a sad day when the highlight of your day becomes enjoying the sight of other people in their misery.
He isn’t sorry. If he was he wouldn’t have made whoopie with 15 women outside of his marriage.

If this was any other Joe Blow from golf would we even be talking about this? No.
Is Tiger sorry? The guy knew what he was doing, he’s not sorry he did it but more so that he hurt his family life.
As for Elin, she knew the guy was doing what he was doing and if she didn’t she was mad dumb.
And the media explosion over this, let it go and let the man have his private life kept private.
I think it’s too soon to tell–a crack addict may, MAY recover after years of therapy. Same for the alcoholic, and yes, there WILL be the inevitable relapses along the way.
Rumor has it Tiger’s already hooked up with someone in rehab.
Truth be told, he should just divorce Elin and be true to himself. If he can get a handle on this thing, THEN he should re-connect with her.
Are you saying “once a crook, always a crook”. If that’s the case, then why rehab at all. Why waste tax dollars on jails?
Everyone is sorry when they get caught. Time and actions will tell if he is really sorry. He just did what day to day men do everyday.
