There are many scientific reasons to work out.   Gymaddiction.com has a very comprehensive list on the benefits of working out.

Among the more startling and intelligent reasons are:

  1. Reduces the risk of developing breast cancer.
  2. Improves your decision making ability.
  3. Reduces the risk of endometriosis (a common cause of infertility).
  4. Reduces your risk of heart disease.
  5. Improves the density and breaking strength of bones.

These reasons are fine, but people don’t typically work out for these reasons.  The vast majority of gym goers want to increase their sex drive, look better for the opposite sex, or be stronger for the opposite sex.

It’s a crying shame that more people aren’t working out to increase their productivity at work (#76 on gymaddiction.com).

So now that we’ve got that out of the way lets get down to business.  Why do you work out?

Don’t be ashamed to say its because you want to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
