Yankees Win!

7 Comments 05 November 2009

The New york Yankees have done it again.  Full Story

Even after the A-rod news early in the season, and ongoing debate over the departure of Joe Torre, the Yankees have done it again.  Regardless of where you’re located, New York, Florida, Georgia, California, Texas, North Dakota or Iowa, there is always a Yankees fan.

But how fair is this win?  I mean there were 2 guys named Rodriguez and Pettitte who were confirmed with steroid use.  And this is for the team who pays out ~$210 million in salary.

Was this a fair NY Yankees win?

If you’re unwilling to do whats necessary in order to win, you DESERVE to lose.  If you want everything to be fair, make them play baseball in loin cloths and set the upper weight limit to 150 lbs.

How exciting would that be ?

What’s necessary? ‘Roids are necessary? Spending $210M is necessary… Baseball needs a salary cap, 8 times out of 10 the teams that win are the teams that spend the most money a al the 1997 Florida Marlins. They went worst to first to worst, obviously bought the Series. While I agree the best players should get paid the most, the best team shouldn’t.
And baseball is not exciting…you actually watched the series? HA

The lack of a salary cap has always skewed baseball. Honestly, I don’t have a problem with Rodriguez and Pettitte using steroids. If you want to pump hormones into your body go ahead and do it. I’m sure there were a few guys on the Phillies who have had the same horse hormones shot up their asses.

I don’t think steroids are as bad as they make them seem. These guys still have to hit a ball that is coming at them at 90+ MPH. Steroids can’t improve that ability. But I still don’t understand how A-Rod comes back in the same season and Barry Bonds disappears forever and nothing is said. That is cheating in my opinion.

    I finally agree with you.

But you do agree, that being stronger helps hit the ball over the fence….right?

Probably so. But of all the sports, baseball is the one that being the biggest and strongest doesn’t necessarily make you the best. Take Ray Lewis and put him at a baseball diamond. If he can’t hit the 98 MPH fast ball, that beastly strength means nothing.
